Why film?


Film has a character all of its own. The tones can feel softer, the colours beautifully nuanced and the natural grain adds a little texture that makes every frame feel unique.

It's not about making everything look perfect. It's about capturing how things felt.

The quiet moments while you're getting ready. The way the light falls across your dress. Your favourite people laughing together, a fleeting glance across the room or a moment on the dance floor you didn't even realise I caught.

Film has a way of making these moments feel a little more timeless. Photographs that feel lived-in, full of feeling and almost like little memories pulled from another time.


The best of both worlds


Film doesn't replace your digital wedding photography; it sits alongside it.

I'll continue documenting your day as normal, capturing all the important moments, the big emotions and the little things in between. Alongside this, I'll shoot a selection of photographs on 35mm film, choosing the moments, light and scenes that I feel will work beautifully on film.

Think of it as an extra layer to your wedding story. Your digital gallery gives you the full picture, while film adds a little something different: texture, softness, nostalgia and a touch of old-school charm.

The result is a gallery that brings the best of both worlds together.


So, how does it work?


01. Add film to your package

If you love the look of film, you can add 35mm film photography to any of my wedding packages. It's a lovely little extra for couples who want something a bit different from their final gallery.


02. Enjoy your day

There's nothing extra you need to do. I'll photograph your wedding as I usually would, bringing my film camera along and capturing a few rolls throughout the day. I'll look for the moments that lend themselves to that classic film look, without interrupting the natural flow of your celebrations.


03. Relive it all

Your film photographs will be included alongside your digital images, giving you a beautiful mix of styles and a gallery with even more variety, character and feeling.
